This position will be part of the Federal Divisions Department of Justice and Civil Agencies team.



Job Description

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:


  • Responsible for sales, strategic account planning and overall relationship management for federal agencies nationwide


  • Using the vision, strategy, and tools available, the candidate will become a trusted adviser to the customers and partners.


  • Capable of clearly articulating account specific strategies for all Motorola solutions


  • Develop and enhance strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions


  • Orchestrate and lead the extended Motorola team to understand the account's strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities


  • Allocate appropriate resources, and obtain full collaboration of internal product groups and external partners as necessary to meet the needs of key accounts


Specific Knowledge/Skills:


  • Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety/government/military experience


  • OR 8+ years of sales/public safety/government/military experience


  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a necessary security clearance as required


  • Prior experience in selling complex software and communications solutions


  • Must have a demonstrated track record of closing major sales


  • A technical understanding of RF communications, 1st Responder software application platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired


  • Working knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security a plus


  • Must be a self-motivated problem solver


  • Proven ability to help customers envision solutions, services, and applications


  • Solid working knowledge of the proposal process, Salesforce.com, Google Productivity Suite


  • Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment is imperative


  • Must be self-reliant and able to work effectively from a remote office


  • Ability to remotely lead teams in designing and proposing comprehensive technology solutions to customers


  • Experience in selling Land Mobile Radio, Video Solutions (Body Worn, In-car, Surveillance), or other Public Safety Solutions


  • Ability to build strong relationships with customer


  • Understanding of sales concepts such as key competitive differentials, value propositions, and sales cycle (prospect to close)


  • Ability to travel to customer locations throughout the country


  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

  • Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety/government/military experience


  • OR 8+ years of sales/public safety/government/military experience


  • Must be a U.S. citizen


  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
