The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects. Position Summary Temporary, Part Time, Non-Benefitted position through 6/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance). Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour. Location: Off Campus: Southern California. Remote with some in-person required. Work Schedule 19 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged based on course offerings. Nights and weekends are required. First Review Deadline This position will remain open until filled. Typical Activities Under minimal supervision of the HEP Director, the Instructor will work independently to: Provide instruction in Spanish in all HiSET subjects to assigned student cohorts throughout the program's school year. Implement instruction according to program's lesson plans and instructional calendar. Attend regularly scheduled instructor meetings, as well as appropriate training sessions. Help design and implement individual academic success plans with participating students and the Instructional Support staff. Adhere to CSUF HEP testing and assessment procedures. Support student and instructor recruitment outreach efforts. Other job related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: Experience with educational and social contexts of adult students of diverse backgrounds, especially migrant Latino/Chicano students. Ability to work cooperatively with other staff members and contribute to the development of program strategies/interventions. Other: Bilingual - Spanish. Must possess highly effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people. Exercise sound judgment, determine priorities, complete assigned projects in a timely manner and work well under tight deadline. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a school setting. Demonstrated ability to utilize platforms such as Google Classroom, Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
