Job Summary and Qualifications

OR Inventory Control Coordinator (Supply Chain)

 As an Operating Room (OR) Inventory Control Coordinator, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the OR by performing all aspects of daily inventory management and procurement of supplies necessary for daily operations. Coordinate the building, implementation and maintenance of all Supply Chain system activities

 Your duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

 · Ensures that required equipment and materials are in the appropriate locations so that work may be done effectively.

· Vigilantly watches over job processes, tasks and work product to ensure quality.

· Partners with OR Clinical Service Coordinators and OR Analyst to ensure accurate creation and modification of physician preference cards.

· Maintains master file synchronization between Meditech OR, Point of Use (POU) technology and SMART System.

· Participates in physical OR counts, ensures accurate scanning and recording of equipment and supplies.

· Performs QA random checks on totes per approved policy

· Works with Clinical Resource Manager (CRM) and OR Materials Manager on all OR supply cost management.

Qualifications

· High school diploma (or equivalent) or GED

· Minimum of five years medical materials or clinical (OR) experience preferred

· Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds

· Critical thinking and customer service skills

    · Ability to read and comprehend written instruction and follow verbal instruction
