FP&A Lead - Military Veterans

Summary of Responsibility:

Morris Group is seeking an experienced and highly analytical FP&A Lead to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis processes to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a proven understanding of financial management principles, and a consistent track record of process ownership.

What You Will Contribute: 


  • Lead and assist in the preparation of annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.

  • Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making across the organization.

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.

  • Lead and support the monthly financial planning process, including variance analysis, management reporting, and planning platform management.

  • Provide training and support on best practices and process workflow updates, including preparing desktop procedures for end users.

  • Drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Competencies: 



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, CMA, MBA or advanced degree/professional certification is a plus. 

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications. 

  • IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 modeling or administration a plus, but not required. 


  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Proven ability to lead financial planning processes independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a goal-oriented mindset.
