Federal Project Superintendent - Military Veterans

Our client is a commercial construction company headquartered in Flowood, Mississippi. Working with private owners, developers, governmental agencies and other partners, they are committed to hard work and continuous improvement as well as the highest standards of safety, quality and service. Their team members have proven track records of success and integrity, along with considerable experience designing, estimating, building and managing projects. The are currently building a new Federal Government sector of the business and are looking for military candidates who have extensive experience in military construction.

Candidates must have extensive experience in the construction industry to join this team in Jackson, MS and Memphis, TN offices. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Strong leadership, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role.

The Project Superintendent responsibilities include the following:

- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish, setting and monitoring goals and deadlines

- Collaborate with construction workers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners to assess project needs

- Proactively identify and resolve issues before they become a problem

- Supervise staff and provide construction feedback

- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards

- Manage project progress and budgets, and keep track of material stock, equipment, and orders

Qualifications:

- Hard worker with a high level of integrity

- Proactive and able to solve problems on the fly

- Humble and eager to learn

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents

- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and manage teams

- Have a willingness to tackle challenges and problem-solve in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Base salary, $80 - $120K, with a possible annual bonus, depending on the group's success. They offer a full benefits package, along with a car allowance, and a 401k and profit sharing.
