Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Film Studies School/Division: School of Communication Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time Description: The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication is pleased to invite applications for an Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor of Film Studies in the Department of Radio, Television, Film at Hofstra University. The candidate would teach undergraduate-level courses on a semester-by-semester basis, in the following possible areas: Introduction to Film Studies (focusing on critical analysis) Film History Film Genres Film Authorship The candidate should have an expansive view of each of these canons, including a practice of DEI . Qualifications: Have completed a Master's degree in Film Studies with teaching experience or PhD/ ABD in Film Studies. A successful candidate will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment. Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Film Studies. Record of scholarly publications.
