Athletics Tickets Representative - Military Veterans

Job Description:

Brown University Athletics is currently seeking candidates for the Athletics Ticket Representative. Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 34 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).

This position is responsible for selling tickets and will-call at various athletic events. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Providing excellent customer service at home athletic events

  • Process sales in AudienceView ticketing system

  • Ensure PCI compliance with cash control process

  • Managing complimentary tickets at will-call

  • Scanning tickets and all-season passes

  • Assisting guests with online ticket purchases at varied athletic events

  • Assisting guests to their seats and/or reviewing their tickets to monitor access to reserved seats/hospitality sections


Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service or hospitality industry

  • Prior experience with event tickets or cash handling

  • Ability to handle conflict and pressure and direct question and complaints to the appropriate person

  • Math skills to accurately calculate charges and make change in a high pressure situation

  • Requires knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn specific ticketing protocols and rules pertaining to Ivy League and NCAA

  • Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.

  • Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, internet and email capabilities.
