Range Systems Supervisor - 3324 - Military Veterans

This position is located at (VSFB) Vandenberg Space Force Base, California and is not eligible for telecommuting.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise the Range Systems Support (RSS) team, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of the critical tasks and major processes below:
  • Crew Certification for launch operations.
  • Procedural document control, review, and editing.
  • Operator and Maintainer training and qualification program.
  • Technical Order Distribution Office (TODO) and technical library management.
  • Internal Self-Inspection (compliance) program.
  • Facilitate updates to, and ensure timely delivery of, various Western Range Systems Department Contract Data Requirements Listing (CDRL).
  • Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis for issues and relevant incidents.
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review department procedures and instructions.
  • Perform studies and analysis and prepare action plans, reports, and briefings.
  • Vigorously pursue initiatives to improve the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of LISC enterprise solutions, products, or services.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling, work assignments, training and development, employee vacations, and overtime assignments.
  • Assist employees with problem resolution, and interpretation of company policies.
  • Ensure personnel are properly trained to execute their responsibilities, and receive initial and recurring guidance, instructions, and direction needed to ensure quality and timely service.
  • Interface with LISC management and stakeholders to ensure continuity of information for LISC performance and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.
  • Oversee special projects and perform additional duties, as required.

  • Time management skills that demonstrate the ability to lead and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of Five (5) years' experience technical analysis, project, or business-related field, including at least three years in a leadership/supervisory role preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing work processes and efficiencies, reports, and presentations.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) and Adobe Professional. Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Western Range subsystems, launch requirements, maintenance concepts, engineering activities, and their interrelationship is preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Occasional travel to instrumentation sites on Vandenberg AFB and Pillar Point AFS.
  • Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
  • Current U.S. driver's license.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $100,000; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training and preferred skills, and knowledge.
