Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Cardiac Technician Licensed for our practice who will prepare, educate and perform a variety of examinations, tests and procedures following established protocol. Monitor patient during examinations and tests and report results to the physician.

What you will do in this role:


  • Provide timely flow of office patients. Assist in the delivery of care under the direction of the

  • physician.

  • Ability to react in the event of a cardiac emergency.

  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments including taking and recording vital signs.

  • Perform standard EKG procedures by following established protocol.

  • Prepare exam rooms with needed supplies and equipment.

  • Assistant with additional testing of patient. Basic knowledge of equipment.

  • Monitor patients following established protocols.

  • Assist with scheduling, calls, patient education, under the direction of the physician and/or in coordination with the practice manager.

  • Assist with office and medical supply maintenance.

  • Responsible for crash cart supplies. Knowledge of crash cart policies, procedures, medications and equipment.

  • Assist with clinical duties including basic phone skills and computer skills.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.

  • Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Values Statement.

  • Adhere to established rules, ethical standards, regulations and laws of the profession

What Qualifications you will need:


  • Minimum of five years’ experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemaker and AICDs

  • (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and St. Jude) OR cardiac device technology certification from a recognized device training school.

  • Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions (Carelink, Latitude, and Merlin).

  • License and/or certification required as according to state regulations

  • Credentialing for cardiovascular techs is available from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
