The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Operations Specialist, J33 Current Operations Division. This position is a crucial deployable position. The Operations Specialist briefs the Commander and Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) staff on the current operational situation. Maintains situational awareness via the JTF-CS Common Operational Picture (COP), which provides current operational data from all command levels which is quintessential to JTF-CS’ planning and execution for a no-notice national security deployment mission.

Joint Base Langley–Eustis is a United States military facility located adjacent to Hampton and Newport News, Virginia. The base is an amalgamation of the United States Air Force's Langley Air Force Base and the United States Army's Fort Eustis which were merged on 1 October 2010.
