Job Overview
Location: Warrendale, PA. On-Site.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design world-class electronic sensors and control hardware for use in hazardous underground mining environment
- Contribute to technical design activities on various hardware projects
- Participate in architecture, design reviews with internal teams and suppliers
- Contribute various aspects of electronic product readiness including manufacturability
- Perform testing and validation of hardware prior to release
- Up to 10% of travel is possible
Qualifications/Requirements
- BS with 2 years electronic hardware design industry experience or MS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer engineering or relevant
- Experience in Electronics hardware design in as many areas below:
- Digital circuit design
- Low power analogue circuit design
- Programmable logic design (FPGA)
- Design of Low power microprocessor-based controllers
- High speed communication systems and Ethernet-based networks
- RF components and systems
- Expertise in using electronic test equipment such as Logic, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, Digital Oscilloscope, Multimeter etc
- Experience successfully contributing to the development of complex CPU, FPGA and ASIC based PCBA designs
- Experience with Schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit analysis applications such as primarily Altium, and knowledge of OrCAD, SPICE, eCADSTAR, etc.
- Experience in the design of autonomous sensors such as lidars, radars, cameras is a plus
- Detail oriented, consistent, motivated self-starter
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline focused work environment
- Familiarity with safety critical system design and industry standards is a plus
- Knowledge of common machine control sensors, actuators, and other typical control devices

The Komatsu North America Mining Distribution and Service group is a critical part of our Komatsu global organization. We, sell, install, service, provide parts and rebuild equipment, as well as provide digital solutions for our customers.
