Job Description Summary: Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College ( GTCC ) are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. Under general supervision of the director for community service programs, this individual will be teaching motorcycle safety courses within the community education programs, which could include, day, evenings or weekends classes. The community service program consists of a wide variety of personal enrichment classes and special programs designed to meet a multiplicity of life-long learning educational needs within the Guilford County community. Education Required: High School Diploma or GED graduate. Certified through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation ( MSF ). Education Preferred: Associate Degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. Experience Required: Teaching and/or industry training experience. Experience Preferred: Experience with general motorcycle maintenance.
