What you will do:

We are striving to make our buildings more autonomous, saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint. You will be working with product managers, software developers, and testers to validate the product we are providing to our customers meets their expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing test strategies along with test cases to ensure that quality exists in the products we deliver. You will be setting up test environments both hardware as well as software in order to meet the needs of the project to validate it works within the building management system.

How you will do it:

  • Work with the technical/test leads to develop test strategies and test plans

  • Obtain, setup and maintain test environments for validating quality exists within our products

  • Executing functional, integration, or system related tests while monitoring the progress of the project.

  • Prioritizing the work to accomplish the demanding changes to adhere to list of milestones, check points and measurable criteria to check the quality on a timely basis

  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly reports are sent to all stakeholders

  • Provide technical assistance to other areas such as Manufacturing, Marketing and Quality Assurance

  • Maintain a high technical proficiency that meets rapidly changing technologies and skill requirements through self-training, attendance at seminars, formal training and schools and by technical reading

  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivator, and fast learner

  • Be aware of and adhere to the corporate and departmental policies and procedures, especially those pertaining to standards of business conduct


What we look for:

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience required

  • At least 7 years' experience within a controls engineering background in a building management systems.

  • A team player, capable of leading a group of diverse testers to qualify a product with the highest level of integrity

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Familiar with Microsoft office and operating systems


Preferred but not required

  • Domain knowledge of our product, Metasys, in Control System Engineering

  • Programming experience in Java, Selenium, Python, VScript, or other types of automation framework languages

  • Practical experience performing testing on large projects comprised of both software and embedded firmware

  • Familiarity with Wireless communications from IOT devices.
