The Department of Biology at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the BIOL 125a Immunology (4 credits) course in Spring 2025. This course covers topics in immunology including properties and functions of cells involved in innate and adaptive immunity, genes, structure and function of immunoglobulins, B cell receptors and T cell receptors, lymphocyte differentiation, genetic regulation, MHC restriction, cell interactions and signaling, pathogen immunity (bacteria, viruses), and vaccines, tolerance, and autoimmunity. Scheduled class time is to be determined. Candidates with a PhD and teaching and/or professional experience in Immunology will be given preference. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
