The Department of Computer Science at Manhattan College is looking to fill an adjunct position to teach two sections of " Object-Oriented Design with Java " (an undergraduate course for Computer Science sophomores already familiar with object-oriented programming in C++) for Fall 2024. Fall classes begin August 26, 2024. Two sections of this course are scheduled on Tuesday and Friday 11:00a-12:15p and 12:30p-1:45p . This schedule cannot be changed. Requirements for candidates: The minimum qualification for undergraduate level teaching is an MS in Computer Science or a related field. Desired qualifications include teaching experience in higher education (specifically experience in teaching Java for Computer Science majors) or work experience in related industry. The adjunct pay rates are : For one undergraduate 3-credit section: Instructor (no PhD) $4,431.83 Adjunct Assistant Professor (PhD) $4,578.76 Adjunct Associate Professor (PhD) $4,726.94 Adjunct Professor (PhD) $4,875.13 Application Instructions : Applications (in a single pdf file) should include a cover letter, and a curriculum vitae.
