OnsiteCollins Aerospace is currently in search of a skilled Quality Inspector to fortify our esteemed Quality Assurance team based in Santa Fe Springs, California. Our team operates at the forefront of carbon brake quality assessment, guaranteeing the excellence of the carbon brakes vital to aviation. As a Quality Inspector, you will spearhead the implementation of meticulous inspection protocols, evaluating carbon brakes to uphold our stringent quality standards. Your role will encompass utilizing a diverse array of measuring and testing instruments, all in strict adherence to company protocols and regulatory safety standards.
Operates directly from our Santa Fe Springs, CA facility.
Rotation Schedule: Participates in a 7-day rotational program.
What You Will Do:
Employ advanced inspection techniques and operate complex equipment, including intricate part setups and inspections, with a preference for proficiency in CMM operation and programming
Conduct thorough inspections of receiving, in-process, and finished components using a diverse range of measuring and testing equipment
Validate Statistical Process Control (SPC) data as necessary to approve parts for final acceptance
Collaborate with fellow team members to address and resolve quality issues efficiently
Utilize the MES System to inspect products and materials, maintaining meticulous inspection records and generating necessary documentation for discrepant items
Assess returned goods from customers, identifying discrepancies and reporting them as required
Prepare certificates of conformance, such as DSQR/FAA/ODA, in accordance with customer specifications
Offer recommendations for, and contribute to, the development and implementation of inspection instructions
Ensure proper segregation and documentation of nonconforming materials
Adhere to company policies, relevant regulations, safety protocols, and operational procedures with precision
Demonstrate effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Fulfill additional Quality Inspection responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications You Must Have:
HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience is required.

Two years of experience as a quality inspector
Qualifications We Prefer:
Solid grasp of fundamental to intermediate mathematical concepts, including Geometry and Basic Trigonometry.
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) principles.
Demonstrated experience in calibrating Precision Measuring Equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and depth indicators. •
Excellent computer skills, with expertise in MS Office and Excel applications.

The salary range for this role is $57,553,60 to $77,854,40; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
