Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Environmental Engineer for John Deere Waterloo Product Engineering Center (PEC) located in Waterloo, IA, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide technical and process support to major manufacturing facilities in Waterloo, IA to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.
- Directly responsible for all compliance programs at the primary facility (PEC).
- Manage one environmental engineer that is directly responsible for compliance programs at John Deere Engine Works (Air, Water, Waste, Chemical Management).
- Directly responsible for maintaining the facility ISO 14001:2015 program requirements.
- Responsible for development and execution of long-term strategic sustainability goals.
What Skills You Need
- 5 or more years of experience managing environmental compliance in an industrial setting.
- An effective communicator with the ability to communicate to factory leadership and hourly workforce.
- Experience creating and/or updating environmental plans, permits and standard operating procedures
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience managing people.
- Experience working with complex environmental regulations such as TV air permitting.
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field.
