We are currently seeking a dynamic Commodity Manager - Chemicals, Powders, Media to join our team. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Commodity Manager, MS, and your primary responsibility will be to lead, formulate and execute strategic supplier initiatives to support Entegris business needs. This role is based at our Aurora, Illinois, facility.

In this role you will:

• Drive sourcing decisions in the Chemicals, Powders and Media area that will lead to improved outcomes in supplier selection.


• Lead cost saving efforts, especially in areas of opportunity within this commodity.


• Become a strong technology ambassador for the sourcing organization, develop relationships with key Entegris stakeholders, and facilitate engagements that position organization for long term success.


• Develop strong relationships with suppliers' technical teams that facilitate a deep understanding of their organizations' technology roadmaps and capabilities to support Entegris product requirements.


• Assess technology/business gaps in supplier performance and implement continuous improvement activities.


• Partner with Entegris product development teams to lead sourcing activities that enable organic business growth.


• Negotiate contracts with those critical suppliers within the commodity.


• Support sourcing, cost saving and supplier development efforts across the BU's.


• Provide sourcing support and market intelligence support to the New Product Development teams through collaboration with these global, cross-functional teams within the development and product lifecycle.


• Manage strategic supplier performance using business reviews, performance metrics, contract administration tools, and continuous improvement projects.


• Develop and execute advanced negotiation strategies that support business objectives.


• Deliver sourcing recommendations which take into consideration comprehensive market analysis, should-be cost modeling, supplier financial health, material availability, supply assurance, and risk assessment.


• With limited guidance, lead key projects that achieve deliverable and schedule commitments.


• Collaborate with cross-functional personnel on a global basis to ensure alignment of key strategic objectives.


• Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to drive financial and technical success in collaboration with key business leaders.


• Ability to travel, both domestic and international, as needed to support job scope.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university


• Experience in Category or Commodity Management, with a preference for experience managing chemicals, powders and media.


• Experience working in the semiconductor or other high-tech field.


• Experience using financial data to drive decision making.


• An astute capability to recognize the needs and motivations of individuals, and the capability to develop and nurture a wide array of internal and external relationships.


• The capability to quickly understand complex engagements, identify creative business solutions, and drive successful interactions with outside partners.


• A dedicated technology inclination for learning, collaborating, and continuous improvement.


• Demonstrated negotiating skills, effective communication capabilities, and the ability to persuade suppliers to efficiently support the long term, profitable growth of Entegris.


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing, making prompt decisions, and delivering results.
