GENERAL PURPOSE:

Associate Assortment Analysts are responsible for a specific merchandise segment for all stores. The Associate Assortment Analyst is responsible for conducting basic analysis, as directed, to support diverse business needs. They ensure the accurate execution of assortment strategies within their business area using allocation system applications and escalate issues to their manager. The Associate Analyst will interpret various reports to identify opportunities that support allocation objectives.

Associate Analysts apply established policies and procedures to complete tasks and resolve issues. They follow organizational best practices in analyzing situations or data and build stable working relationships within Allocation. Associate Analysts are collaborative team members who are accountable for the execution of essential Allocation operations. In this role Associate Analysts are building their foundational skills.

The base salary range for this role is $66,560 - $ 76,050. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assortment Strategy

    • Compile and format basic recaps to measure assortment strategies

    • Execute key merchant strategies as directed by the Manager or Sr. Analyst
      o Seasonal Strategies
      o Business Events
      o Ad Hoc Request

    • Analyze and interpret reporting with assistance to validate assortment execution

    • Participate in store visits to assess allocation results and identify assortment opportunities




  • Inventory Plan Analysis
    • Identify issues impacting inventory plan achievement and partner with manager for resolution
      Assist with trouble shooting store call outs as directed by Manager or Sr Analyst



  • Essential Operations

    • Ensure allocation department tools are current & accurate

    • Prepare standard reports to support team business needs

    • Validate automated allocation approach and allocation levers are set up as instructed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or 1+ years of relevant work experience

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) or equivalent application suite

  • Excel: Basic formatting using format cells drop down box, format text, saving, and basic formulas (sum, add, subtract, divide)

  • Basic retail math

  • Solid communication skills



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
