Senior Aviation HUMS Software Engineer - Military Veterans

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Aviation HUMS (Health and Usage Monitoring Systems) Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that monitor the health and performance of aircraft systems. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring the safety and efficiency of our aviation products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain software for Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) used in aviation applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, data scientists, and aerospace experts, to develop integrated solutions.
• Implement algorithms for data analysis, fault detection, and predictive maintenance.
• Conduct testing, debugging, and validation of software to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and maintain documentation for software design, testing, and user manuals.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HUMS-related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in HUMS technology and aerospace industry trends.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development, particularly in embedded systems and real-time applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Ada, Python, or Java.
• Experience with additional embedded languages and tools relevant to avionics.
• Experience with data analysis, signal processing, and algorithm development.
• Familiarity with aviation standards and regulations (e.g., DO-178, DO-254) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) in aviation or related industries.
• Experience with T700 engine systems and their monitoring requirements.
• Knowledge of machine learning and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems, sensors, and data acquisition technologies.
• Experience with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
