Product Development Analyst - Military Veterans

at American Family Insurance

You will provide analysis to help build product strategy recommendations to division and department leadership based on research, performance data and competitor actions. May specialize in researching competitor products, developing and enhancing product/contract language, underwriting guidelines, and analytics. You will report to the Sr. Product Manager.

Position Compensation Range:

$67,000.00 - $111,000.00

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will provide information to management to affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.

  • You will develop reports, analysis, or recommended strategies related to product development, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and agent business practices.

  • You will analyzes information and present opportunities to improve product or business procedures.

  • You will monitors effectiveness of current products and recommend changes to management.

  • You will analyze data to support the formulation and execution of operational plans.

  • You will specialize in supporting pricing activities related to rate reviews, profit and loss ratio-based reviews, experience rating programs.

  • You will research philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals.

Specialized Skills Requirements

  • You will demonstrate your experience by providing customer-focused solutions or service.

  • You will demonstrate your experience with multiple PC software applications

  • Experience with insurance product design and underwriting concepts in area of expertise.

  • Experience with market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.

  • Experience with project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.

In this flex office/home role, you will work 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Chicago, IL 60601*; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034; Nashville, TN 37214
