The Role

Entegris is seeking a Senior Director of Operations to lead the Advanced Materials Markets (AMM) manufacturing and operations team and to provide overall operational leadership for the Decatur, TX site .

The Senior Director of Operations will report to the Materials Solutions Vice President of Operations and will be located in Decatur , TX.

This position will require building strong working relationships across the organization, developing partnerships on a local and global level, ensuring the safe operations of the site, to solve and execute technical solutions related to manufacturing cycle time, cost, quality and product yield, for AMM products.

What You'll Do


  • Responsible for the Decatur TX site security and safety of operations, personnel and regulatory compliance;


  • Overall accountability for the safety, quality, cost, throughput and delivery of AMM manufacturing operations in Decatur TX , operating on a 24x7 basis


  • Provide direction and prioritization to personnel regarding planning, scheduling, purchasing, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, quality, inventory control and distribution/ shipping;


  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve customer supply and quality issues and drives sustainable process improvements;


  • Develop and execute performance objectives to drive operational excellence ;


  • Guide and support new product transition activities from engineering to high volume manufacturing (HVM ) ;


  • Assist with the development, planning and execution of the overall Material Solutions division global manufacturing strategy.



What We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), with an advanced degree in Business or Management preferred;


  • Experience in industrial manufacturing desired.


  • 15+ years manufacturing or operations experience, with continuously increasing responsibility


  • Successful development of manufacturing and operations personnel;


  • Material Synthesis or Aerospace experience preferred;


  • Experience with new product introduction, commercialization and product transitions (in-source, out- source or site-to-site );


  • Proven experience leading cross functional teams to achieve business objectives ;


  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification desirable ;


  • Must be able to drive accountability down through organization


  • Excellent c ommunicator


  • Ensure strong teamwork between plant operations and business unit teams


  • Strong ability to connect with shop floor employees to drive employee engagement


  • Lead with t enacity to get things done ....i.e. strong execution focus


  • Develop a "Customer-First" factory mindset and culture


  • Must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control law
