The Manufacturing Engineer focuses on the design and operation of integrated systems to produce high-quality, economically competitive products. These systems may include computer networks, robots, machine tools, and materials-handling equipment.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable improved understanding of future manufacturing process requirements.
  • Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and ensure that manufacturer procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
  • Develop and integrate assembly processes and capital improvement projects to efficiently manufacture products.
  • Lead cross functional teams to implement improvements to existing equipment, manufacturing methods, and tooling. Lead complex projects independently with minimal supervision.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop root cause analysis for quality defects.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an engineering role required.
  • SAP Experience Preferred.
  • 2 or more years of verifiable fabrication/welding experience in a production setting required.
  • Basic knowledge of tool and die setups and design required.
  • Experience in Turret Punch Press and/or Laser Machine programming preferred.
  • Experience in Creo Parametric Solid Modeling, sheet-metal preferred.
  • Robotic welding experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and one-piece flow production.
