Responsibilities


  • Performs diversified duties requiring the application of various procedures and guidelines and the use of several types of software, forms and records. Analyzes service orders and other documentation (electronic and hard copy) to maximize the productivity of field technicians and overhead crews.

  • Performs routing and dispatching functions associated with the Field Automation (FA) System, ensuring the equal distribution of work to field technicians.

  • Schedules or reschedules field work, services and/or appointments with customers in response to changing work priorities.

  • Processes and follows-up on customer requests for electrical service, providing Overhead Line Supervision, Customer Field Services Technicians, System Operators, Customer Service Reps and others with specific information regarding the completion of service work.

  • Performs system operations in SAP/FA such as coding, updating, verifying, comparing, calculating and maintaining customer and meter records, resolution of on-line generated edits, answering telephones, radio dispatching, use of PC to transmit data and various administrative duties as directed by leadership and other employees.

  • Works on under/over billing errors, switched meters or corrections with supporting departments or resources. Perform updates to customer accounts based on information provided by the Network Meter Reading system or manual reads.

  • Maintains files and updating customer keys or access information as required. Assist in the training of personnel. Exercise judgment and make decisions to determine appropriate response and actions within limits of accepted and standard practices or procedures.

  • Professional judgment and interaction required in dealing with but not limited to customers, contractors, landlords, inspectors and other agencies. Referring and utilizing departmental files, records, data and follows Company policies in transmitting data or handling information. Maintain files for Standard Field to avoid unnecessary delay of work and process incoming and outgoing mail from the Customer Care Center.

  • Receive calls and/or coordinate activities with Customer Field Representatives, contractors, customers and inspectors, reporting on the status of the job request.


Skills and Requirements

  • Must be able to complete all paperwork associated with all temporary and demolition work which include but are not limited to billable work orders, receiving, logging and processing checks for temporary services, construction agreements, release sheets, demolition letters, etc.

  • Must have knowledge of the overhead and underground system, including engineering operations.

  • Support the activities throughout Standard Field; including Meter Engineering, Revenue Meter Systems and Meter Test.

  • Actively support and assist team members to achieve metrics..

  • Work hours determined by the Company to meet customer and Company needs including weekend, extended, holiday, emergency and off-schedule hours. May be required to perform other duties as workload fluctuates.

  • Observes all company policies, operating procedures, guidelines, safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Other Day-One Qualifications Required for Selection:

  • Ability to operate PC and related equipment including and not limited to the use of word processing and spreadsheets.

  • Ability to learn, Field Automation dispatching and scheduling, STORMS, reporting tools and other supporting applications

  • Knowledge of processing and following-up on customer requests for services including meter orders, overhead and underground service orders, credit and other customer orders originating in the Customer Care Center

  • Must have working knowledge of SAP
