Lifeguard College of the Holy Cross Description Lifeguards for the Hart Athletics Center Pool will be the primary operators of the aquatic facility during hours assigned for: community hours, varsity use, and rental use if applicable. Lifeguards will be responsible for the safety and general supervision of all patrons utilizing the Hart Pool during all hours of assigned shift, and will be first responders to emergencies related to the aquatic facility. Lifeguards are superior swimmers who are able to provide swimming advice, water rescues, and will control unruly behavior if necessary. Lifeguards need valid CPR, and lifeguard certifications, that will last for the duration of semester working. Other duties will include daily pool quality tests & reporting, as well as other minor pool facility maintenance tasks as assigned.
