Systems Engineer Senior - TS/SCI required

HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT


  • Responsible for performing high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex application that require a thorough knowledge of administrative, and technical skills.

  • Directs and participates in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases (IV&V and DT&E).

  • Applies higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solution.

  • Designs and prepares technical reports and related documentation, and makes charts and graphs to record results.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required by the Task Orde May be required to serve as Task Leader. Responsible for ensuring the qualit and services delivered for particular task(s) for which this skill is performing the Task Leader position."

  • Analyze customer requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level network architectures to develop customer specific requirements and specifications

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation.

  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies

  • Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members but also to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking terminology.

  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to government systems.

  • Develop and maintain network architecture, network design documentation and solutions for continuous improvement of ACIC systems architecture

  • Develop and design an implementation plan that meets the customer's requirements.

  • Interact with the Government regarding network engineering technical considerations and for associated problems.

  • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility

  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives effectively

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.

  • Act as lead in defining and executing systems engineering activities within a project. Provide comprehensive definition of all aspects of network development from analysis of mission needs to verification of network performance.

  • Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:


  • Education: High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 8 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of experience


  • Required Skillset:

    • Mitigate risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated projects

    • Review and/or approve system engineering documentation to ensure that processes and specifications meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, and complete

    • Establish and follow a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces

    • Capture all interface designs in a common interface control format, and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository




  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI


  • Required Certification(s):

    • DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract

    • IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent

    • Computing Env: MCSA Server 2016 (You can start with the first exam completed (70-740) and must obtain the full MCSA Server 2016 within 180 days from start date.)

    • Desired Computing Environment certification: MCSA 2016/2019/Azure, Linux+, VCP-DCV 2020-2022, etc.




  • Location: On Customer Site


  • Additional:

    • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract

    • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity

    • Travel may be required to support the mission

The likely salary range for this position is $134,597 - $48,024. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
