The Opportunity:

The WestRock Recycled Fiber Division has an opportunity for an Outside Sales Representative, Fiber Buyer, with strong people skills to sell our recycling solutions in the greater Tampa area markets. We are seeking a sales representative that is both adept at hunting for new clients as well as nurturing and expanding relationships with existing clients to drive growth. This valuable combination is needed to drive sales success in this role. The ideal candidate will be someone with a "hunter" mentality who enjoys not only bringing in new accounts but also maintaining and increasing the value of current accounts in collaboration with the plant operations team.

If you have cold calling experience, the ability to build and maintain client relationships, coupled with strong negotiation skills that lead to closing deals, this could be a strong career fit! Responsibilities:

  • The ability to identify and reach out to potential customers through in person visits, cold calling, self-generated leads, networking, and referrals.

  • Manage existing business relationships to achieve pricing goals by developing and implementing sound retention strategies, utilizing strong negotiation efforts to preserve business, and securing contract agreements from previously non-contracted customers.

  • Identify and present creative solutions for services and/or products to prospective clients.


  • Negotiate contracts, prepare written proposals, and close sales.

  • Provide excellent customer service and build long-term relationships with customers.

  • Collaborate with the team to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.


  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer information.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Strong Excel capabilities are required.

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or related field preferred.

  • Strong collaboration skills to function as the liaison between internal operations and customers.
Requirements:

  • Proven success in outside B2B Sales.

  • Experience in account management and building customer relationships.

  • Experience with price negotiation and margin enhancements.

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.

  • Sense of ownership with a strong drive for results and desire to win.

  • Must enjoy being part of a team with the ability to work independently.


Compensation:
Salary plus annual bonus program; mileage reimbursement and full benefits including medical; HSA, vision, dental, wellness programs, HSA, life insurance, 401K with match with strong company contribution, and more.
