Job Duties
The Department of Forest Resources is seeking seasonal, B4WarmED Interns (Temporary/Casual, Job Code 0001) to join a team of faculty, post-docs, research staff, and students working on various forest ecology research projects. Typically, the B4WarmED Interns will work during the months of March and November, depending on the weather. Hours will be variable, and intermittent, and may include evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as a member of a team. Candidates must be willing to travel to field sites in northern Minnesota.

(60%) Measure plant growth, physiology, and phenology
(20%) Lab work includes data entry, biomass assessments, and leaf area analysis
(10%) Routine maintenance of field sites, field instruments, and research equipment
(10%) Data cleaning

Required Qualifications
High school graduation and one (1) year of related education and/or related experience.
Candidates must be willing to travel to field sites in northern Minnesota.
Candidates must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated work or educational experience in forestry or ecology.

Salary Range
$31,200 to $45,000
