Responsibilities

Overview

The Master Data Management Engineer is responsible for working collaboratively in an agile team to implement highly available and secure cloud technologies. The person in this role is also responsible for continuous monitoring and optimization of the cloud implementation for efficiencies and continuous support of, and collaboration with, other teams and projects, particularly DevOps, platform and automation teams.

  • Develop Informatica Customer 360, Business 360, Reference 360, Cloud Data Quality & Cloud Data Integration implementation design and build for MDM SaaS, Cloud Data Governance related uses cases

  • Expert for Master Data Management: Informatica MDM, IICS, C360, B360, R360, Cloud Data Quality and Cloud Data Integration

  • Build data pipelines in Azure environments and integrate with MDM tools for ingress and egress jobs

  • Performance tuning of Informatica MDM SaaS ProductsWork with Customers on solution brainstorming, solution design, and solution implementation for customers C360, B360, R360, Cloud Data Quality and Cloud Data Integration and Master Data requirements.

  • Collaborate with product owners and managers to establish service level objectives

  • Collaborate with development team members to swarm, troubleshoot, and resolve problems that may exist in cloud-hosted environments and determine ways to improve current product usage and adoption to meet customer requirements

  • Lead training sessions, develop curriculum, and code labs for other internal teams and have willingness to instruct and coach in a cross-team cloud training program as needed


Qualifications

Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience required

  • Master's Degree in a related field preferred

  • 3-5 years of progressive IT experience with a minimum of 1 years' experience in software development, test automation, system administration or infrastructure/operations required

  • 2-3 years of experience in cloud technologies with at least 1 year of project experience with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar technologies required

  • Database Technologies knowledge: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL (eg CosmosDB, MongoDB) preferred.

  • Experience with current trends in SaaS products, cloud data integration, cloud data quality, cloud ecosystems and business analytics technologies preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Databricks and IICS CDGC preferred.

  • Scripting: PowerShell, Bash and Cloud Platforms experience: Azure or Amazon AWS or GCP preferred.


Licenses
  • Current Azure DevOps Expert or Azure Architect Expert certification or equivalent AWS or GCP certification required

Salary

The base salary range for this role is: USD $88,000.00 to $162,900.00. At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.

OUR BUSINESS & OUR HISTORY

GM Financial was founded as AmeriCredit in September 1992 and opened its first branch office in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 1, 2010, AmeriCredit Corp. was acquired by General Motors Company and renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial). In 2011, GM Financial acquired FinanciaLinx to serve GM dealers and customers throughout Canada.  In November 2012, GM Financial announced the acquisition of Ally Financial Inc.’s international operations. The majority of those acquisitions were finalized in 2013, with the remaining market, a 35 percent equity interest in a joint venture in China, acquired in January 2015.  In October 2017, GM Financial completed the sale of its European financial subsidiaries and branches as part of General Motors’ sale of the Opel and Vauxhall businesses to Peugeot S.A.

 

GM Financial provides auto finance solutions to 14,000 dealers worldwide, with earning assets of $93 billion at September 30, 2018.
