Summary:

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for working within the BI team to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions that meet the needs of the organization. The developer must work well in a team setting and have excellent organizational, prioritization, communication, and time management skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate accountability, flexibility, and adaptability to handle multiple and changing priorities and be able to successfully collaborate with development teams, technology groups, consultants, and key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with members of the business on design and deliverables.


• Partner with cross-functional teams on delivering project milestones.


• Translate business needs into informative visuals, dashboards, and reports.


• Create design documents and training materials for reporting.


• Create reports capable of serving hundreds of users for the enterprise.


• Create analytics using a variety of analytic tools including Microsoft Power BI and Tableau:


• Develop and publish efficient data models including managing schedule refreshes.


• Apply well-written DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to meet business needs.


• Manage solid change management.


• Create pixel-perfect Paginated Reports using Power BI Report Builder.


• Understand security models and the ability to implement row-level security.


• Configure, administer, and tune Power BI Premium capacity.


• Design visually appealing UX/UI using Power BI visuals.


• Integrate Power BI reports into embedded analytics.


• Demonstrate proficiency with databases (SQL Server), Azure Synapse and SQL Scripting to obtain data for analytic needs.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.


• 2 or more years of relevant experience in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and supporting production databases required.


• Relevant experience creating visually stunning reports, dashboards, and analysis including implementing User Experience (UX)/ User Interface (UI) best practices.


• Relevant experience using Power BI, and experience with Power BI at the enterprise level (not just with pro)


• Experience using Tableau at the enterprise level


• Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service/ portal/ tenant


• Experience with Power BI Report Builder


• Experience with designing Workspaces to meet the needs of different user groups


• Power BI certification is preferred.


• Tableau certification is preferred.


• Ability to quickly learn, understand, and articulate various technologies available to solve business problems.


• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $109,700.00.
