Mechanical Engineer - Military Veterans

Our client is a world-class supplier of vacuum pumps and systems and is currently on the hunt for their next Mechanical Engineer to join the staff in Yorktown, VA.

Position summary:

Performs engineering duties in planning and designing liquid ring, rotary vanes, and rotary lobe blower skids. In addition to that, the candidate oversees assembly, testing, installation and provides technical support on such equipment, and ensures that all tasks are performed in accordance with company policies and quality system procedures.

Tasks:

- Works under the direction of the Engineering Manager to specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications

- With other members of the Engineering Department, reviews and approves CAD designs before they are released into production

- Provides engineering technical support and advice during assembly and testing phases

- Conducts research and development in coordination with other team members, that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components, and systems

- Provides input on cost functionality and quality improvements to deliverables for research and development of new systems and/or product improvement of current designs

- Provides on-site commissioning and start up support when requested by the customer

Base salary, $75 - $85K, an annual bonus, and a full benefits package is offered.
