The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking an academically oriented, board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist to serve as Director of the Yale School of Medicine Biorepository. This is a school-wide core resource for biomedical research. The successful candidate should have prior experiences in laboratory management and biorepository. The candidate will be expected to dedicate small portion of FTE to participate in the service responsibilities of a large and diversified diagnostic practice; contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow teaching; and develop an academic program reflective of his/her interests. The department will provide resources to support the program development. Rank and salary will depend upon level of expertise and accomplishment. The Department serves Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, major teaching and referral centers in southern Connecticut, and has a robust outreach program providing consultative services to regional practitioners and beyond.Southern Connecticut offers beautiful shoreline, affordable housing, excellent schools, numerous recreational opportunities, and easy access to New York, Boston, Newport, Cape Cod, and the ski slopes of New England.
