Administrative Assistant- Accounting Clerk - Military Veterans

We are looking for an effective intermediate Accounting Clerk that can work diligently to help maintain smooth operations. You will undertake various accounting activities, ranging from AP/AR to quality control of point-of-sale data and more. You must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Office Products, Workday, QuickBooks, and general accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable
• Accounts Payable
• Quality Control POS data and maintain digital file cabinet.
• Handle Fleet Payments and National Account/Government claims and credits.
• Handle Labor Claim reimbursements through various vendor programs.
• Assist with updating pricing.
• Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
• Assist office management and organization procedures.
• Do some order processing and basic accounting entries.
• Manage Uniform procurement.
• Perform other office duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as accounting clerk or other clerical position
• Familiarity with office procedures and very basic accounting principles
• Working knowledge of office devices and processes
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of QuickBooks (Preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and emails.
• Very good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• High school diploma
• We will train.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting: Most of the workday will be spent sitting at a desk, utilizing a computer and other office equipment.
• Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment with precision.
• Vision: Clear vision is necessary for reading documents, working with spreadsheets, and utilizing computer software.
• Hearing: Ability to hear and understand verbal communication either in person or over the phone.
• Lifting: Occasional lifting of files, office supplies, and packages weighing up to 20 pounds may be required.
• Mobility: Limited mobility may be necessary for accessing filing cabinets, printers, and other office equipment.
• Repetitive Tasks: Performing repetitive tasks such as data entry and filing may be required.
