Sr. Duck Creek Engineer - Military Veterans

Chubb is seeking a skilled Duck Creek Technical Lead to join our exceptional team, dedicated to providing and maintaining services across various business units within Chubb. The role will involve leading and/or contributing to tasks like analysis, configuration, design, implementation, enhancement, and operation of PAS systems based on the Duck Creek Policy platform. A successful track record in Duck Creek Technologies, coupled with the ability to mentor and guide a team of developers. Responsibilities:

  • Lead or take part in analyzing, defining requirements, designing, configuring, and technically implementing solutions using Duck Creek Policy
  • Contribute to work item development, estimates, schedules, and plans to meet business requirements.
  • Convey technical recommendations to business analysts, subject matter experts, and end users.
  • Collaborate with architects, technical leads, developers, configuration specialists, QA teams, and subject matter experts from upstream and downstream systems to devise comprehensive solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers.
  • Develop and supervise the maintenance of SDLC artifacts.
  • Investigate, assess, and outline potential solutions while considering project constraints, organizational standards, customer processes, and emerging technologies.
  • Engage in ongoing Level 3 support and maintenance.
  • Offer insights for application performance optimization.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure accurate implementation of technical specifications and adherence to best coding practices during development.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing execution and deployments across different environments.
  • Experience working in production support for Duck Creek application and incident resolutions


.Experience:

  • Over 8 years of experience in the insurance industry involving system configuration, integration, and development using Duck Creek Technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years in a role of Technical Architect or Technical Lead.
  • Proficiency in Example Author/Server/Express 3.0 Rating, Forms, and Pages.
  • Skilled in using Debugging Tools like Data Tester, Example Utility, Trace Monitor, and TSV Debugger.
  • Experience with XML and, XSLT, JavaScript and CSS, SQL and T-SQL queries.
  • Experience with DC User Admin and Work experience in Agile methodology
  • Familiarity with Composed Requests, Request Variables and Conditional Requests.
  • Expertise in maintaining and updating products with updates from the business. [versioning, rate tables, etc.]
  • Exposure to web service integrations.
  • Familiarity with Code analysis tools (MSCop), Unit Testing, CI/CD, and automated build pipelines.
  • Experience in Duck Creek Policy Admin System on P&C / Commercial/ Specialty Insurance
  • Strong working experience on Example Author - Server, CBO express and Skins
  • Strong ability to debug Duck Creek issues and provide solution for DC components, specially Rating, Forms, Business Rules
  • Should have strong understanding of manuscripts, versioning, and configuration.
  • Understanding on third party integrations with Duck Creek
  • Execute diverse solutions as per technical specs and business needs.
  • Strong in Unit Test, solution documentation and transition of solutions
