The Greenberg Child Care Center at Skidmore College invites applications for a part-time 12-month daily assistant teaching position. Qualifications: The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with college student teacher aides, as well as the ability to work with people with diverse backgrounds. This person must have knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and a desire to provide quality early childhood experiences for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age. This position includes tasks both in and out of the classrooms, including meal prep and kitchen management. This candidate must be able to lift at least 30 lbs., pass a physical exam, and background checks required by New York State. Additonal requirements include 30 hours of training in various areas of child care and development every 2 years with 15 hours being completed within the first 6 months of employment.
