Lab Test NC Programmer III (3&5 axis programming) in GAC Savannah
Unique Skills:
Must be proficient in programming 3 and 5 axis metal parts on milling machines. Aluminum, Cres, and Titanium programming experience required. Thin wall and tight tolerance programming preferred. Must have ability to work on programs and support machinist during running and proofing of programs on shop floor. R&D shop requires the ability to change priorities and adjust work load at any time to support company needs as required. Catia programming experience required. Familiarity with Mazak Milling machines preferred.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 4 years machining, planning, tool design, or related manufacturing experience to include 2 years of experience as numerical control engineer.
Position Purpose:
Under minimal supervision, perform activities related to complex numerical control (NC) programming, including machining methods, tooling concepts, and programs for NC milling machines and lathes.
