Division Director of General Academic Pediatrics FH-1751 | Brown University - Military Veterans

The Alpert Medical School of Brown University Department of Pediatrics is seeking an experienced clinician-scholar to serve as the new Director of the Division of General Pediatrics. The Division Director will lead the academic pediatric faculty working at the Hasbro Primary Care Center and other clinics in the region. The Division Director is expected to oversee and expand programs to deliver state-of-the-art pediatric care, teaching, research and advocacy, to pursue her/his/their own research program, and to promote the academic career development of faculty and trainees. The Division Director reports directly to the Department Chair. The position includes participation in the clinical and teaching activities of the division and department, with protected time for administrative responsibilities. Minimum requirements include an MD, DO or foreign equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Rhode Island, and certification by the American Board of Pediatrics. We seek a dynamic candidate with vision for the field of General Academic Pediatrics and the ability to: develop junior faculty and residents into future leaders in pediatrics, collaborate with colleagues, administration and our community to manage primary care workflow and promote population health, and oversee academic infrastructure for the division. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability in administration, excellence in patient care and teaching, a track record of scholarship and national recognition in their field, and ideally be eligible for appointment as Associate or Full Professor.
