The Opportunity:

The Sr. Pricing/Cost Analyst provides commercial analytics to support decision making for large accounts of the Corrugated Division, including bids and contract renewals.

The scope of this position also involves ad hoc analysis and communications associated with cost savings, profit improvement, and new product proposals.

How you will impact WestRock:


  • Manage bid packages for large customers that come to us in the form of a Request for Quote (RFQ).

  • Partner with the Sales Leadership to provide a full array of analytical support for data requests and Request for Quotations (RFQ's).

  • Analyze, compare, and evaluate impact to sales, costs, and profits from different designs and/or commercial terms

  • Establish an effective working relationship with the sales leaders, key division, regional, plant, and corporate personnel.

  • Communicate project progress and analysis results to internal & external customers.


What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 3 to 5 years' experience in Price / Cost / data processing analysis preferred

  • Prior experience in manufacturing or distribution preferred.

  • This individual must have the ability to manage multiple large projects. It is not unusual for an Analyst to manage 4 to 8 bids / projects at the same time.

  • Strong analytical mindset and ability required.

  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated, and self-starter.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with ability to communicate at all levels.

  • MS Office proficiency with Advanced Excel skills required

  • Experience working with big data files, with the ability to summarize for a meaningful business discussion is a plus.
