Clark College is seeking applicants for part-time Clinical Nursing Professors to teach in our Associate Degree Program. Openings are primarily for in person clinical and skills lab courses. This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Positions will be filled as program needs arise. We review applications on a quarterly basis. GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES: Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning. Effectively use computer applications for instruction, communication where appropriate and maintaining program compliance. Maintain department curriculum standards. Provide appropriate means to assess student progress and provide timely feedback. Use appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles. Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees. Participate in relevant department activities supporting the teaching and learning environment. Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques. Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds. Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and currently enrolled in a Master's in Nursing program or Master's degree in a health or education related field. Three years of relevant clinical experience. RN licensure in Oregon and Washington (or ability to obtain by time of hire)
