Summary:

The Director of Facilities and Operations is responsible for providing structure and support for Cook Childrens Medical Center Facilities and Plant Operations programs and also for Cook Childrens Northeast Hospital Facility Management services. This structure and support will ensure strategies and resources are in place to meet and exceed the Medical Centers expectations of providing a welcoming, clean, safe and effective environment of care for our patients, families, visitors, staff, volunteers and physicians. As a Support Services staff member, the Director of Facilities and Operations will demonstrate a commitment to Cook Childrens Healthcare Systems operating values and integrate them into each job function by always employing effective processes and education of staff. Education & Experience:


  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience directing facility operations in a healthcare environment.


  • Strong working knowledge of JCAHO, NFPA, TDH, NEC, CDC and other codes and code authorities.


Licensure and/or Certification


  • Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM)-Preferred


  • Professional Engineer (PF)-Preferred
