Physician Assistant Clinical Faculty University of California San Diego Position overview Position title: Physician Assistant Clinical Faculty Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $82,200-$240,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Position description The University of California San Diego School of Medicine Atkinson Physician Assistant Education Program is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and invites applications for a 12-month, full-time position to serve as founding principal faculty. It consists of Admissions & Student Affairs (including Health Sciences Financial Aid), Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, Continuing Medical Education, Diversity & Community Partnerships, Anatomical Preparation Services, Educational Computing, Events Management, the Simulation Training Center and a central business office. The School of Medicine Graduate Programs consist of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program, Neurosciences Graduate Program, Medical Scientist Training Program and the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program. Responsibilities include teaching, evaluating, and advising didactic and clinical year physician assistant students. This position includes a clinical release day to provide clinical care in the USCD Medical Center system. Participation in scholarly activity, professional activity, and research as mutually agreed with the program director. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. The appropriate rank and appointment will be based on the candidate's background and experience.
