Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Adusumilli Laboratory at MSK. The candidate will work with the lab head to design and execute bench experiments, supervise technicians, analyze experimental results, prepare manuscripts, and maintain laboratory records. The laboratory's focus is on developing and translating adoptive T-cell therapy for the treatment of various solid cancers, including lung cancer, breast cancer, and mesothelioma, using recombinant oncoretroviruses and lentiviruses as vectors. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or MD/PhD, with a background in immunology and experience with mouse models. Knowledge of general oncology and cancer pathogenesis, molecular/genetic concepts, experimental methods, and data analysis is essential. The candidate should be comfortable with the handling of human blood and tissue samples, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a dynamic environment. https://www.mskcc.org/research-areas/labs/prasad-adusumilli Responsibilities: Work directly with the lab head to design, develop, and execute bench experiments Supervise technicians/research fellows in the conduct of bench experiments and coordinate with core laboratories to process samples Perform data management, analyze experimental results, and draft experimental procedures and manuscripts pertaining to research work Maintain detailed laboratory records Familiarity with general oncology and cancer pathogenesis Knowledge of molecular/genetic concepts, experimental methods, and data analysis Ability to maximize resources and troubleshoot effectively Experience with and willingness to work with mouse models Comfortable with the handling of human blood and tissue samples Requirements: PhD or MD/PhD with a background in immunology Passion for science and a desire to advance the understanding and treatment of cancer Highly organized and self-directed individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and innovative environment.
