Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of Dining Halls.

Responsible for ware washing, organization, and storage of dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, utensils, etc. using 3-bay sink, pot washer and/or dish machine.

Responsible for maintaining the sanitation of utility areas and equipment;

Responsible for learning proper procedure to assemble, disassemble, use, clean and storage of commercial/industrial equipment as appropriate including but not limited to: Flight Dish Machine, Pot Washing Machine, Bowl/Buffalo Chopper, Meal Slicer, Continuous Feed Food Processor, Deep Fryer, Steam Kettle, Char Grill, Mirror Griddles, Woks.

Adheres to department, state and federal food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures and requirements; maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.

Responsible for proper and careful use of dish machines to keep these machines in good working order;

Responsible for assisting with kitchen prep under supervision; also responsible for food service set-up and breakdown when needed;

Responsible for general cleaning and sanitizing of tables/surfaces, floors, ceilings, walls, exhaust hoods, and equipment in kitchen, mop closet, and dish room area between shifts and end of the day.

Assist in for putting away of deliveries and driving, if in possession of a valid US drivers license.

Responsible for reporting all breakage to management.

Responsible for maintaining the sanitation of utility areas, mop closet, and mops; sweeping and mopping floors between meals and at the end of the day; also when asked by management.

Responsible for separating and removing trash, recyclables and cardboard, and placing them in designated containers.

Assist in transport, set-up, and removal of food, equipment and tables between locations as needed.

Train new food service employees and student workers as assigned.
