Assembler, Fab Tech- 2nd Shift - Military Veterans

Job Summary: The Machine Operator (Fabrication Tech 1) will be responsible for having trained in all activities pertaining to the shop floor including skill sets in Cut, Groove, Hole cut, Assembly, catalog and shop floor platform knowledge (Mendix) by a certified trainer. The Tech 1 will also work closely with the lead enforcing all policies and procedures. Duties may vary due to business needs.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

Daily

• Responsible for enforcing a safe work environment and ensuring incidents, near misses, and all other safety related matters are reported properly to lead/Mgmt.

• Responsible for their Attendance.

• Perform shop floor day to day operations.

• Ensure quality per Victaulic's standards is met

• Responsible for following with current project schedule and material management.

• Required to perform all operations associated with fab cell proficiently.

• Complete all daily checklists and TPM's

• Certified on all equipment.

• Ensure all 5S duties are completed.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures.

• Other duties assigned by Lead/Mgmt.

Weekly

• Know your daily performance.

• Responsible for all TPM's and Checklists.

• Responsible for addressing project issues.

• Meet all goals.

Monthly

• Responsible for ensuring TPM's are completed.

• Work together with Fab lead on FEM.

• Become certified in at least 5S FEM discipline.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School degree required.

• A minimum of 3 years of technical experience

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings and interpret technical manuals.

• Previous forklift experience.

• Forklift license for required all specified equipment (must be obtained after employment).

• Experience with forklift-mounted computers and bar-code scanners (can be trained on the job)

• Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds.
