Position Description Join the Department of Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at the University of Washington. We are recruiting a full-time physician assistant at the faculty rank of Teaching Associate to join our hand and upper extremity service. Our Physician Assistant (PA) will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team that in addition to orthopaedic surgeons may include primary care and rehabilitation physicians, orthopedic residents, other advanced practice providers and nurses. Our PAs are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position is on an annual appointment with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. This position has an anticipated start date in winter (January-March) 2024. Salary: The base salary range for this position will be: $9,584 - $12,084 per month ($115,008-145,008 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Current and valid Washington State Physician Assistant License. 2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA program. Nationally certified PA-C with DEA. 3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment. DESIRED: Experience in orthopaedic care preferred but we can train motivated and talented individuals.
