Postdoctoral Fellow (Molecular and Cell Biology) | Tufts University - Military Veterans

We are seeking 1- 2 postdoctoral fellows in the field of translational medicine using cell and molecular biological approaches. They should have profound experience in one or two of the following research areas: non-coding RNA including lncRNA and microRNA; signal transduction pathway; epigenetic regulation on gene expression; mechanisms of diabetes, osteoporosis/arthritis, Alzheimer's disease and squamous cell carcinoma; regenerative medicine for tissue engineering and wound repair; nanomaterials for in vivo delivery; transgenic and gene knockout strategy. The postdoctoral fellow will be working under the supervision of Dr. Jake Chen and supported by his current NIH grants. A successful postdoc may have the opportunity to be promoted to junior faculty positions. Dr. Chen's laboratory is conveniently located in downtown of Boston, Massachusetts. The postdoc should have a PhD degree from a renowned lab with publication(s) in highly regarded journals. The applicant should be highly motivated, relatively independent and able to generate and propose feasible hypotheses. They should have mastered the most advanced techniques and methodology in cell and molecular biology. They should have excellent composition and writing skills for scientific papers. The postdoc fellow should be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with the staff in the multidisciplinary Chen Lab and the labs in other research institutes located in Greater Boston areas. Salary is dependent on level of experience. This is an entry level position but individuals who have been a postdoc for not more than 2 years are eligible to apply.
