Staff Nurse I, Inpatient | Boston Children's Hospital - Military Veterans

Job Summary This Registered Nurse will be responsible for: Providing care to acutely ill medical and surgical cardiac patients with complex congenital and/or acquired heart disease Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides expert care. Working 36 hours per week with day and overnight rotations and every third weekend. To qualify, you must have: A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. 2 years of inpatient nursing experience - cardiac/telemetry experience preferred Pediatric experience is preferred. Start date for this position is May 2024 The Heart Center at Boston Children's Hospital is a world leader in pediatric cardiovascular services and has pioneered treatments that have dramatically improved the survival rates for fetuses, infants, children, teens, and adults with congenital or acquired heart defects. Care is provided for patients in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. These settings include: a 42 bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care unit; a 48 bed Acute Cardiac Care Unit; a Cardiac Catheterization suite that includes 5 cardiac catheterization laboratories and a 18 bed Recovery Room; 4 cardiac procedure rooms, 5 Cardiac Operating Rooms; an on-site Outpatient Clinic; and 12 off-site outpatient cardiac satellite clinics. The Outpatient Clinic area includes facilities for echocardiography, exercise physiology testing, and electrophysiology testing.
