Child Life Specialist, Autism | Boston Children's Hospital - Military Veterans

Job Summary This Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) will be responsible for: Participating in therapeutic activities and programs to meet patients' psychosocial and developmental needs, and facilitating adjustment to health care experiences for patients with Autism Spectrum disorder. Coping support and consultation within established clinics and phlebotomy, as well as future departments. Serving as member of multidisciplinary team. Working 30 hours per week, (three 10 hour days). To qualify, you must have: Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Child Life, or a closely related field with a concentration in child life. 600-hour Child Life internship under the supervision of a CCLS. Prior experience working with autism spectrum disorder and/or related neurodevelopmental disabilities, management skills and ability to work across departments in a collaborative model. Flexibility, maturity, creativity, interest in innovation and program development. Certification in Child Life Specialist required within 1 year of hire.
