Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Echo sonographer, you will work with a team that considers themselves a family where each member works hard to support each other. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:


  • You will, under the direction of the Manager, be responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures such as transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, intra-operative echocardiograms within the inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • You will accurately prepare patients for procedures and correlate patient history with all tests that have been ordered by physicians.

  • You will always ensure that equipment is clean and in proper working condition. If equipment malfunctions are identified, the Manager will be notified immediately.

  • You will follow established surveillance, prevention and control of infection policies and procedures to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring or transmitting infection by use of personal protective measures.

  • You will maintain a clean and organized work environment including but not limited to; staff work area, patient exam rooms, equipment and supplies.

You will expertly perform all ultrasound procedures in assigned specialty service areas utilizing a variety of equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical practice standards, hospital guidelines and protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification

  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Certificate
