The University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) supports researchers to help them produce results better and faster, to ultimately improve the health of communities and populations. CTSI develops and disseminates approaches to advance translational research, through workforce education and training, fostering multidisciplinary teams, improving quality and efficiency, and engaging community and national stakeholders in research.
Here is an opportunity to join the growing CTSI Informatics team to support initiatives to transform and accelerate clinical research.
The Clinical Research Informatician is responsible for supporting our research database which adopts the OMOP common data model. They will support the specification, development, and deployment of research tools and projects. The position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality assurance and quality control of the OMOP database, supporting rollout and training to the research community. This position works collaboratively with CTSI Informatics team members and other research informaticians.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Health, or other relevant field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of data analysis or CRM systems experience
Minimum of 3 years of programming experience with SQL in Microsoft SQL Server, preferably in a research or healthcare setting.
Familiarity with OMOP common data model and medical vocabularies (ICD, CPT4, LOINC, SNOMED, etc.) are highly valuable.
